Obtain Continuing Education Units

All Health Care Professionals registered with the HPCSA are required to engage in CPD and accumulate 30 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) per 12 month period of which at least 5 CEUs should be for ethics, human rights and medical law.

CEUs accrued for CPD activities will be valid for a period of 24 months from the date that the activity took place/ended. Thus health professionals should aim to accumulate a balance of 60 CEUs by the end of their second year of registration and thereafter “top up”. The requirement for compliance is to reach and maintain a level of 60 CEUs (of which at least 10 CEUs should be for ethics, human rights and medical law) at all times.

My CPD offers Medical Doctors, Medical Technicians & Medical Technologists access to accredited articles worth at least thirty (30) Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) of which five (5) are Ethics with auto marking and instant certificate generation for R500 including vat per calendar year.
